Many Shaw carpets include the special R2X Stain and Soil Repellant. This repellant is, of course, designed to protect the carpet from stains. It is different than most stain repellants, however, because it offers complete coverage. More specifically, the entire carpet yarn, not only the top, is protected from stains.

Shaw also offers a SoftBac Platinum Carpet Backing. The backing certainly makes the carpet stronger and more stable. Shaw carpet, when the SoftBac backing is installed, will remain extremely soft and flexible, regardless of foot traffic or other impacts. Plus, the backing ensures that the carpet will never wrinkle or show seams.
